For the 2024 season we have a variety of positions available: Reception Assistance, Social Media Promotion, and Website Translation.
Reception Assistance
We are looking for volunteers to help in the reception in our Valery Hostel and Hotel Valery II. We would like someone who speaks different languages but preferably knows Spanish + English, German, French or other languages. There would be two shift options.
Social Media Promotion
If you are a technically savvy person who is good with computer systems and social media apps, we need you! We are trying to boost our TikTok, Instagram, and online reservation portals. Even pages such as this one for volunteering. We need someone who knows how to find answers and can work creatively. Any other skills you have please let us know. We just want to grow and would love to hear what you offer.
Translator for our Travel Website
We are looking for volunteers to help translate our website into English, German, French, and Portuguese. Our company is focused on the growth and development of tourism, we offer good quality services with the best workers in each area. As a volunteer you will be asked to work about 6-8 hours per day helping us correct the translation of our website. We already have pages in English and German but they’re not perfect, so those just need to be looked over by a native speaker and corrected where necessary.
All positions come with the following accommodation: one bed in a shared room/bathroom in Hostel Valery II located centrally in Huaraz, Peru. Close to the market and all downtown shopping and activities. Located on the same block as the office for Grupo Alpamayo Tours and the other Hotel we run - Hotel Valery. Breakfast is included (scrambled eggs, bread, coffee/tea). We clean your room once a week. There are washing machines you can use in both hotels as well. There is a shared kitchen in the main hotel that can be used to cook and store food. Hostel Valery has a new restaurant that just opened on the floor above it as well as a terrace to sit in the warm sun and relax. You are located right next to everything on the main drag and just two blocks from the main plaza. As a tour travel company we also run daily trips into Huascaran National Park. Our iconic trips are the following: Llanganuco, Laguna 69, Rocotuyoc, Pastoruri, Chavin de Huantar, and Nevado Mateo.
