Working for the only official animal shelter of Suriname you will have an important job: providing care and food for the animals; cleaning pens; washing and socializing the dogs; finding new homes; helping the ambulance service; working in the garden; etc. A couple of times a year spaying and neutering projects are held. During that time we need volunteers to register the animals; prepare them for surgery; teach the owners about the procedure and aftercare; etc.

Basic knowledge of providing health care to animals preferred.
There is no cost to participate but volunteers must cover their own travel and living expenses (e.g. accommodation; food; etc).
