We seek volunteers for our wildlife reintroduction project with jaguars. We are breeding jaguars for reintroduction into a nature reserve.
The main tasks of volunteers include assisting in the care and maintenance of the jaguar reintroduction centre (e.g.; cleaning pools; drinking fountains; cutting grass; fixing platforms; etc); assisting in the search and preparation of food; and assisting in video surveillance through remote cameras and data collection.
The volunteer should be being willing to work hard in the field (long walks in the sun or rain); live in a shared room with other people and sharing cooking and housekeeping tasks. The place is difficult to access and is isolated by land. No cell phone signal and very limited internet.

Applicants must be responsible; self-disciplined; hardworking; self-motivated; tolerant of tropical weather and biting insects (mosquitoes; ticks; flies); willing to work in a group and able to tolerate rustic isolated living conditions. A sense of humour is vital. Applicants will share a room at the field site and share cooking and housekeeping tasks. Spanish skills are required. We provide the necessary equipment for the fieldwork activities; as well as food and lodging. Applicants must arrange their own transportation to Estancia San Alonso; within Ibera; Province of Corrientes.
