Oral Health and Empowerment Program

Smiles Forever

About the Program

We are a non-profit foundation dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by educating impoverished indigenous young women through a two year vocational dental hygiene training program. By educating women; the central focus of the family; we create leaders who understand the value of education for all of their children and prevention in dentistry and medicine. These women also participate in the community and vote. As the students progress through the program they and the staff provide preventative and restorative dental care to over 7; 000 patients in the underserved populations in Cochabamba and the surrounding rural areas.

We are looking for volunteers from all walks of life; with all manner of skills; talents; and knowledge. In particular; we need individuals with the following kinds of background and experience.

  • Dental Hygienists
  • Dental Assistants
  • Dental Hygiene Instructors
  • Spanish Translation
  • Grant Writers
  • Fundraising and Special Event planning
  • Anyone who feels the need to contribute and experience the joy of giving.

Let us know if you have any specific area of interest; so that we can best match you with specific opportunities within our organization.
