Volunteer with Rescued Wildlife in the Bolivian Amazon Jungle

Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi (CIWY)

About the Program

Ambue Ari is one of our wildlife sanctuaries; located in the middle of the Amazon Rain Forest. There; we care for rescued wildlife that come from illegal trafficking; illegal pet trade and habitat loss. Our main and foremost goal is to provide the best care for the rescued wildlife; so to endure they are as stress-free as possible; we do not receive visits from tourists. Ambue Ari focuses on felines; small mammals and birds. All volunteers working with animals should assist in cleaning; preparing food; and providing enrichment; especially for animals that cannot leave their enclosures. It is hard work; but totally rewarding.

We need committed volunteers to support us in the care and rehabilitation of our rescued wildlife. Ambue Ari is home to various jaguars; pumas; ocelots and other felines; as well as small mammals and birds.
