We were founded by Mark (Marcos) Kaseman in January 2006. The Foundation is located high in the mountains above Medellin; Colombia.
The main mission of the foundation is to help displaced families from the Colombian Civil War and in the last 4 years refugees from Venezuela. So far thousands of volunteers have visited the Foundation from 107 countries. The Center is located in the remote area called Bello Oriente. Throughout the year we provide educational classes in English; computers and many programs for single mothers to learn sewing; manicure and pedicure and hair styling. Over 250 ladies today have jobs because they learned these trades at the Foundation.
The Foundation is open Monday through Thursdays from 10am till 3pm. We also play games; sports and also work on reading and math skills with the children. During December the Foundation is open on weekends.
Volunteers make their own schedule; so you can come once; sometimes or everyday. On Wednesdays we cook lunch for over 200 children; families and elderly people.
The largest events throughout the year are in January – distributing school supplies to over 1; 000 children. April – Decorating Easter Eggs with the Colombian Easter Bunny Marcos. October – the Annual Haunted House and candy distribution. December – in 2021 the Foundation had 22 Christmas parties for over 3; 000 people including parties for children; elderly; and mom’s with babies.

Some Spanish speaking skills is important
There is a one-time donation of 150; 000 pesos (approx. US$30). 100% of the donation goes to the programs and helping the displaced families. The Foundation does not provide transportation; meals or lodging. Volunteers cover their own living expenses.
