Our animal sanctuary provides animals with the love and respect they deserve. We have rescued many animals; including dogs; turtles and a horse.
If you love animals and equally believe they deserve love and respect; we would dearly love to hear from you.
Volunteers can come here and help us with the daily duties of maintaining our farm and caring for the animals. You can learn so much on the job and our expert animal caretaker; Ekala will be happy to share his animal care wisdom.
Duties may include: cleaning out kitty litter trays and bedding (poo patrol); raking (keeping all pathways clear and presentable); sorting and assisting with feeding as required; feeding the animals; cleaning the animal shelters; collecting cow manure; working in the organic garden; fixing fences; playing with the dogs; walking the dogs; brushing the animals; socializing – on an ad-hoc basis with new residents as required.
Our animal sanctuary was voted VEGAN OF THE YEAR 2014 by Vegans Are Cool and our founders won the unsung vegan hero 2015. We are 3 volunteers who have dedicated ourselves to caring for rescued animals; along with educating people about how and why we have to respect animals.
We offer courses in Spanish and vegan cooking. Volunteers must be vegans.
