We are a non-profit organization located in Cabuya; Costa Rica. We are dedicated to the rescue; rehabilitation; and release of our local wildlife and to the reintroduction of locally extinct species such as the Scarlet Macaw. Preserving biodiversity and ecosystem balance are at the core of what we do. In our rescue center we care for a wide variety of animals including howler monkeys; capuchins; opossums; squirrels; anteaters; armadillo’s; various birds and more – essentially anything that comes through the door! For the benefit of the animals in our care we only train long-term volunteers to interact with the animals.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Volunteers and interns work 6 days a week for 6-8 hours a day; as needs dictate.
We are a beautiful; ocean view property with a yoga deck; infinity pool and various common areas among 5 acres of land next to the Cabo Blanco National Park. We have a private chef who will prepare all meals for those on the meal plan; except for lunch and dinner on Saturdays. Most dietary needs can be accommodated. If you cannot commit to an entire 12 weeks; we do offer shorter-term volunteer appointments for a price.

Applicants must be able to work in all weather conditions and comfortable being on your feet for extended periods of time. Prior experience is valued but not required; as all volunteers go through a formal training upon arrival. Strong work ethic; flexibility; positive attitude; and a passion for animals are a must.
This is a volunteer position. We offer accommodation on site for US$40/week + 13% tax. We also require a US$400 deposit to reserve your spot; which will be returned to you upon completing the 12 week program. You may cook your own meals in our shared kitchen or join our meal plan for US$115 + 13% sales tax/week.
