We are a non-profit; non-governmental organisation dedicated to helping working and vulnerable children; especially girls; and their families to overcome extreme poverty and improve their quality of lives through education and job training; nutritional programs; health and social services; psychological help and recreation. We have a primary school; a drop-in tutoring center; a street outreach program; an adult occupational training workshops program and preventative health services.
We work with local community and international volunteers to empower individuals to improve their quality of life and to serve as agents of change in our society. We have full time; Ecuadorian staff; yet volunteers provide an incredible amount of support and continuity to the work being done by our organization. Volunteer opportunities are varied; and range from working in our street outreach program to teaching sports; from medical and social work to helping with fundraising; communications and managing social media. There are tasks for all interests and capabilities; and your involvement in our work here promises to be a rewarding and unforgettable experience.

We can assist volunteers in finding accommodation and Spanish classes during their stay in Quito. The price for individual Spanish classes ranges from US$8 to US$10 per hour. We also offer internships for professionals in the areas of medicine; psychology; social work; education; and administration; and are happy to take on interns from other backgrounds.

Basic-Intermediate Spanish ability (dependent on project). Advanced Spanish is preferred for some projects. Each volunteer job has its own requirements.
All incoming volunteers will be asked to pay a one-time processing fee of US$100. Due to economic constraints; we are unable to provide our volunteers with free housing. Ecuador is relatively inexpensive (rent is about US$150-300 a month and food is also relatively inexpensive). Homestays are more expensive (US$300-450 a month); but normally include three meals a day and laundry.
