Volunteering Abroad Shouldn't Cost the Earth

Wildlife Conservation in the Amazon Ecuador

Description

This center is mainly engaged in animal welfare, environmental education, the process of awareness on illegal wildlife trafficking, research and conservation of wildlife. Most species here are brought by the MAE (Ministry of Environment) and the Environmental Police for rehabilitation after having been rescued or confiscated from traffickers or people who threaten their habitats. Those animals can also be transferred to other rescue centres or be released to their habitat. Resources are SCARCE as we do not receive any funding from the government or any other organisation, so your contributions are vital to help us save the local wildlife and improve the life of our resident animals.

Such a great experience
"My journey in the refuge was amazing!! I met lovely people and learned the job of keepers and how to take care of animals. Volunteers house is very nice with all volunteers need. If we needed something Fanny or Willian brought it. I recommend!"- Hélène Dehouck
