We conduct service learning documentary programs connecting emerging filmmakers and changemakers in order to tell stories that matter. Each year we select new locations and subjects for short documentary films. We are hiring on a contract basis a Documentary Instructor to co-lead the program in two countries.
Primary Duties:
Supervise 12-15 University-level students in San Marcos; Guatemala and Lusaka; Zambia; in producing short documentary films about local changemakers; Teach multiple Actuality Media curriculum modules including visual storytelling and documentary production; lead workshops including Lighting; Sound; and a practice-shoot that will produce a microdocumentary; Review curriculum online with Actuality Media staff ahead of program travel.
