We need raptor counters for the biggest migratory bird corridor in the planet in Veracruz; Mexico. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience one of the greatest raptor migrations in the world. Aside from enjoying the wonder of birds in migration at this spectacular site; you will also be able to learn about other resident and local birds. On average we count up to 4 million raptors each autumn plus passerines and water birds.
Raptor counters must be willing to handle hot weather conditions half of the season; but the area has a lot of cultural places; excellent food and very nice birding areas.
We count from August 20th to November 20th from 9am to 7pm and we rotate between the two counting station; having day off every 3 days for two of counting.
If you are willing to join our 2022 crew please send and email with your resume to rioderapaces@pronaturaveracruz.org; in the subject line write your name and VRR2022.
