Dog Shelter at the Beach

We are a registered organisation dedicated to rescuing and taking care of street dogs which have been abandoned; are sick; hurt or mistreated.

We are always looking for volunteer to help. As a volunteer you will be:

• Taking care of the dogs in the shelter (feeding them; socializing with them; and general maintenance of the shelter). This is fun and rewarding and where we need most of the help
• Involved in our local fundraising activities
• Helping with dog rescues
• Adoption initiatives
• Assisting with de-fleeing; de-worming; medicating of the dogs in the shelter

We also have a need for volunteers with veterinarian experience to help us take care of our dogs that often need medical care. We offer the possibility to combine working with the dogs in the shelter in the mornings with working at an animal clinic late afternoons/evenings in Trujillo.

Volunteers will have plenty of time to enjoy beautiful Huanchaco.

In their free time volunteers can go to the beach; take surf lessons or go surfing. It is also possible to take Spanish lessons with a good local teacher.
