Education & Women’s Issues

We are an educational non-profit organisation dedicated to improving access to secondary education for young women from rural mountain communities of the Sacred Valley.

We seek responsible individuals who are interested in bringing their individuality and ideas into a small grass roots non-profit. Whether you’re a gap year student; a recent university graduate; a professional or retiree; there’s always a way in which you can lend a hand.

Volunteers can help us in the following ways:

• After school tutoring in subjects such as Algebra; Biology; English and History 9 (must be fluent in Spanish and commit to a minimum of 6 months)
• After school program development & implementation of extracurricular classes (must be fluent in Spanish and commit to a minimum of 6 months)
• Developing and implementing sustainable programs to maintain the dormitory (must be fluent in Spanish and commit to a minimum of 6 months)
• Photographic documentation & website development (Spanish proficiency preferred)
• Fundraising and event planning
• Administrative and financial management
• Grant writing

We are selective with our volunteers; as we build close relationships with the young women of the dormitory; and expect our volunteers to be professional; honest and positive.
