Volunteer at Home for Young Mothers Peru
Description
We are a home for young mothers between the ages of 11 and 18, founded in May 2000. Most have been victims of sexual violence, neglect, and discrimination. We give them a safe place in which to become mothers and provide shelter, food, clothes, medical attention, physical and psychological therapy, education and vocational training. The aim is for them to leave us as independent young women, able to care for themselves and their child.
If interested in volunteering with us, it is important you send us a C.V., a letter of intent as a personal introduction, as well as your profile on Facebook and Instagram. Alternatively, you can submit a presentation for our team to get to know you. The minimum time of volunteering that we ask for is 2 months, a shorter time does not allow mothers and children to get to know you well or to carry out activities. The schedule for the volunteer is 4 hours per day, 5 days per week. The schedules can be rotating from 9am to 1pm or from 3pm to 7pm. You are guaranteed meals within your volunteer hours. In case you have any food restrictions or special diet, you can go through the kitchen to see what is there and if necessary, prepare your own food. We are a great family.
