Reviews
"My name is Sten Lengsfeld, I‘m from Zürich Switzerland and I was 19 during my internship at EcoSwell. I applied for a renewable energy internship, so I got to work on the development of a solar distiller together with other interns and the directors. But I got to work on various different projects in NGO management, like organizing workshops for the local communities, creating social media content and documentaries or to work on the construction of a working station and a sun/rain shelter for the house. Working on this diversity of projects, together with different directors and people enabled me to learn a lot about how an NGO is run, what problems they have to deal with and I learned various new skills in construction, administration and organizing. A good work life balance is one of the core values of EcoSwell, with surfing at sunrise and sunset, spending the evenings going out to the various restaurants or everybody cooking together and having piscos, has been amazing. I always felt welcome and quickly became friends with all the volunteers, the VP-coordinators and even the directors. I came to EcoSwell to get hands-on experience in NGO work and sustainable development. To get a better Idea of what my plans for my future would be. And I ended up widening my view and approach to the world and the Problems we face in it. At the same time I feel like I have grown as a person and got a more defined picture of what I want to do in my life."- Sten Liam Lengsfeld
